Chart school · a game
A chart is drawn with one of 37 shapes from the lessons built into it. Name it, or find the chart that shows it. Every round is a new chart, and some hold no pattern at all.

SimulationEvery chart is generated in your browser to show a shape. None of them is a market. Your longest runs and best timed score are kept on this device only; nothing is sent. Educational information, not investment advice or a recommendation to trade.
How it works
It draws the candle patterns of lessons 2 to 4, the trends of lesson 5, six reversal shapes, the three triangles and the gap. The other 27 drawings of the lessons are not in the game: a level, a channel or a flag has no definition exact enough to check a generated chart against.
None is one of the lessons’ drawings shown again, and none is a market. A pattern is built into a run of ordinary candles at a place and a size that change every round.
Before a chart is shown, the pattern’s own definition is run on it: a hammer’s lower wick is at least twice its body, a doji’s open and close are almost equal. A wrong answer is one whose definition the chart does not pass.
About one chart in six holds none of the names offered. Most of any real chart is ordinary candles, and seeing a pattern everywhere is a common mistake.
Naming a shape quickly is a habit of looking. It is not skill at trading. A shape named correctly still says nothing certain about what a price does next.
A game for study. It is not advice, a recommendation or a forecast. No pattern is reliable on its own, and a shape described here says nothing certain about what a price will do next.
Trading foreign exchange on margin carries a high level of risk, and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.
