What is being considered, planned and built.

Each item says what state it is in and when that changed. An item that will not be built stays on the list, marked dropped, with the reason. Nothing here is a promise or a date unless it says so.

The list

Items, by state.

Nothing has been published on the roadmap yet.

Items appear here when GIO4X staff write and publish them. Until then this page lists nothing, and no plan is implied by its being empty. What has already been built is in What’s new.

How voting works, and what it stores.

One vote for each item, from each browser: You can vote for any item that is being considered or is planned, and withdraw the vote again. No account is needed. Once an item is being built, has shipped or was dropped, its votes are closed and the count stands.
One cookie, set when you vote: The first time you press a vote button, this site sets one cookie, gx_roadmap, holding a random value made for that purpose. It lasts a year, is sent only to this site, and page scripts cannot read it. Opening this page does not set it. Deleting it means the site no longer knows which items you voted for.
What the database keeps: For each vote: the item, the time, and a one-way hash of that random value mixed with a secret only the database holds. Not the value itself, not an IP address, not anything about your device, and nothing that says who you are.

What a count is, and is not

An indication of interest. Because no account is asked for, one person with two browsers has two votes, and a cleared cookie can vote again. The counts are not an audited poll.
Not a commitment. Votes are read when deciding what to build next. They do not decide it, and the item with the most votes is not promised.
Limited. The database accepts a fixed number of votes a minute and an hour across all items. Past that a vote is refused, and you are told.
